Injustice
Never have I come across an injustice as bad as this one new law that has passed for Los Angeles.
TACO TRUCKS parked longer than 1 hour in a general area will be fined $1000 or a 6 month jail sentence.
Well not specifically just taco trucks, but nearly all of them in LA seem to be. It was passed because brick-and-mortar food establishments claim a loss in business because of these mobile eateries.
My take... Too fuckin' bad. Add some wheels under your building then. The taco truck is a part of the Los Angeles culture. Knowing we can get a taco at nearly any corner is the best thing ever.
Its an atrocity to have such an unfair law, which comes into effect May 15.
Protest today. Its Taco Truck Night in LA!
I've seen many LAPD eating at taco trucks... I wonder how enforceable it will be.

That's horseshit. Borderline racist I think. Does that apply to just the big gut trucks or the smaller taco stands that get carted off on bikes? When I was in NC, I found 1 Taco truck in the whole damn state. I hit it up often for lunch but it suddently disappeared one day. I found it again before I came back. They said they were fined for parking too close to a gas station... but it the BBQ vendor with the wood fed oven was allowed to stay. Notice the trend?
Carne Asada is not a crime!
