No longer will we sit and watch a civil right float away.
No longer will we sit and support issues with nothing to say.
It is time. Time, when we shall stand on this very day and make our nation cry out with us.
No longer will we sit.
No longer will we wallow.
No longer will we kneel idly by
and do nothing on issues we support & follow.
Do not rely on someone
Do not look for that somebody.
It is time. Time, to be THAT someone, THAT somebody, and take a stand.
Gay, straight, black, yellow, brown, or white... marriage is a civil right.

Storybook Halloween Hangover
Saturday night was the grand party. I had 3 costumes:
- Lloyd Dobler (Say Anything)
- German Lederhosen (think Oktoberfest)
- Tom Cruise, Risky Business (boxers and a dress shirt)
I spent most of my drunken time in the Lederhosen. Everyone kept calling me Peter Pan and everytime I tried to correct them until I heard a light-toned voice call out, "Peter."
I turned around and to my astonishment, it happened to be Tinkerbell. Who am I to correct her in this situation? So of course I answered, "YES, I AM PETER PAN!"
She then sprinkled me with pixie dust and asked, "Where are you going to fly now?"
I knew this was my one chance to use a cheesy line so I replied, "We're going to Neverland, 2nd star to the right, up the stairs and into the attic to dance straight until morning."
She smiled and laughed.
So we danced. Her wings were glowing with green lights as she twirled around like a ballerina to Chris Brown's song "Forever."
The whole night we only referred to each other as Peter and Tink. Eventually I got her number and labeled it only as Tink on my cell, it was a 626 number. She then left with her friends and faded into the night.
Finding no use for my "Peter" costume, I quickly changed into something more comfortable; Risky Business. It was from here until I passed out that I somehow lost my phone. I was never able to find it. I suspect it was stolen and along with it, the only connection I had for Tink. No one knows who she was...
Maybe next year, if I am still single, I'll be at the same party as Peter, in Neverland... and wait for Tinkerbell again... for another grand adventure.
Hopefully she will not think I ran off with Wendy.
