Sushi Style
A sushi place where eating sushi isn't the thing to do...
Drinking from mini beer barrels and dancing on top of your chairs is it.
Jazz, I'll see you soon.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Quickie:
Friday - Watched Iron Man. I liked it. Robert Downey Jr. carries the movie.
Saturday - Dudes night in. Chillaxed @ the Dude-Cave.
Sunday - Shopped for our tux in the afternoon. Tux shops were crowded with Prom kids. Made some progress then ate at Elephant Bar. Went to see Lyrics Born @ the Key Club. He rocks. Very groovy.

Injustice
Never have I come across an injustice as bad as this one new law that has passed for Los Angeles.
TACO TRUCKS parked longer than 1 hour in a general area will be fined $1000 or a 6 month jail sentence.
Well not specifically just taco trucks, but nearly all of them in LA seem to be. It was passed because brick-and-mortar food establishments claim a loss in business because of these mobile eateries.
My take... Too fuckin' bad. Add some wheels under your building then. The taco truck is a part of the Los Angeles culture. Knowing we can get a taco at nearly any corner is the best thing ever.
Its an atrocity to have such an unfair law, which comes into effect May 15.
Protest today. Its Taco Truck Night in LA!
I've seen many LAPD eating at taco trucks... I wonder how enforceable it will be.

Random Thought: Old World Names
Jess the Operations Manager, son of Fel of West Covina.
I imagined how the world would be if we referred to each other in this old world style.
My thoughts: Wicked Awesome.
I'd actually like to be "Jess the Roaring Bear of the Temple of Aries."
...and Tea, you would be "Tea the Metal of the Dungeon of Hades."
...and David, you would be "David the Yelling Puck of Shiva."
I am a nerd, yes I am very aware of this.
Update
...and Brian, you would be "Brian the 'Stache of the Peaks of Awesome."

Rise from the Ashes
The last week and a half has been traumatic. The death of my beloved grandma has left me with an emptiness in my heart. I am emotionally exhausted and my eyes have run out of tears.
Now is the time to heal.
...and yea, her funeral was on Friday and my Birthday was on Sunday. So incase some were wondering why I didn't fully celebrate my birthday this year... this is why

SF Trip
Being a tourist in San Francisco was fun! We rode the cable cars, went to Fisherman's Wharf, ate some clam chowdah (don't hate Friscans, but I like my sourdough bread bowl toasted and warm which it was not), went to Ghiradelli Square & ate a massive cookie, went to China Town (but wasn't very impressed), had a light dinner & drinks at the Ambassador, went across the street to another bar, talked to locals, played pool, and took a taxi to go only 2 blocks up (haha! Lazy! But hey those up hills are torture after a few drinks). Before we left we had some awesome thai noodles then went to the Golden Gate. So beautiful and powerful.

Support my Walk for a Breast Cancer Cure!
Please support the 5K walk/run (but I will mostly walk, but hey if someone out there donates $500+ I will run it
) for a Breast Cancer cure.
I may not have met any of you Xangans in person, but even if you can donate $1; every little bit helps.

Here is the link: http://www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=246679&supId=206752392
Peace and love,
Jess
