  • Weekend Highlights

Friday, hung out at the Lodge and got lit again. I dig hanging out there. The vibe is easy going and the music is rockin'. Anyways, Easy had to drive my car to Alberto's where my memory was completely shot. I do remember seeing Di and Jackson there. Time flies when you're drinking RUM.

Saturday, the Duck crew headed out to Anaheim for the Stanley Cup celebration party. Wowzers, there were a lot of people. So much so, we had to park at Angels Stadium. It was pretty cool seeing the helicopter land with the Cup and the whole Ducks team riding on top of a double decker bus. What rocked was that Pennywise was there to play "Bro Hymn" which is the celebration goal song for the Ducks when they scored. The lame part was when the Governator came out to talk. His cliche lines of "We'll be back" was utterly terrible. Besides that it was a cool celebration that finished off with a fireworks display.

Sunday, had another football game and yes, another victory! Our team is really merging together. On defense I swatted the ball down right infront of the Quarterback. Also with a 2 point lead, opponent had the ball in our zone with less than a minute left threatening to get the game winning TD, the Quarterback passed the ball to his receiver which deflected off his hand into my grasp. My first interception this season and a big one too. We all got crazy. It rocked.

  • Senators Impeached, Ducks Win in 5!

    Whoooooooaaa-oh-oh-oooohhhhh!!!

Its GLORIOUS! J$$$ and I hung out with Anaheim's Fire Rescue at a nearby sports bar a 1/2 mile from the actual action.

3 hours of yelling, chanting, high fives, and jumping, the Ducks finally immortalized themselves on the greatest prize in sports.

At times it was close, but most of the time the Ducks had a 2 goal lead. When the other team scores on themselves, we just knew the CUP was drawing closer to us.

    What's next?

    ANGELS, 2007 World Series Champions!!!

  • Senators Failing at the Duck Hunt

GAME 5: Ottawa Senators @ Anaheim Ducks 5pm PST. Series: 3-1 Ducks lead.

Tonight, there are two possible scenarios:

    • I'll either be depressed and anxious for Saturday's game 6 in Ottawa.

    • ...or going crazy in Anaheim for being immortalized on the Cup while blasting Queen's "WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS" on my car stereo.

    ROCK ON DUCKS!!!    m/ {o_O} m/

  • Secession for a Better California

It may be a radical idea right now, but I firmly believe California MUST leave the Union (whether or not the next President is Democrat, Republican, Green, Libertarian, etc). The social viewpoints of most of California is drastically different from the rest of the empire. I could go point by point on each issue, but there's enough informative websites out there supporting secession. Just "google" it. Economically, the empire needs us more than we need them. Why should we pay Federal taxes that will be wasted on other states that clearly are not improving at all? We are the 5th largest economical power in the world, yet we hold little influence on the political mainstream while smaller states seem to have the greatest impact for the leader of the free world. Its time to declare our independence from a failing empire stuck in a war that will never end.

    FREE the BEAR!

Secession is not treason, it is an American right.

  • The Eastsiders

Friday, we hung out at the Dresden and listened to the usual lounge singing couple play the Beegees "Staying Alive." (if you watched the movie Swingers, then you might remember that scene.) Good times.

Saturday, we went to the Big Foot Lodge. The DJ was playing some kick ass rock songs from all over the decades. Afterwards, we headed to the House of Pies since Fred 62's was packed as usual. Tea hurled chunks from the Liquid Cocaine shot I got him.

Sunday, played a double-header football game. Won the first one, loss the second. My left calf cramped and I was out nearly half of the second game. My defensive play in the first game was stellar. I had the QB scrambling away from me off the pocket and caused him to rush his passes. One them was converted into an interception by one of my teammates.

Afterwards, had dinner with my family and then played the Fact or Crap boardgame with mi hearties.

  • Superstition

I've been growing out my beard and 'stache' again simply because its Stanley Cup Finals and the Ducks are making their way to immortality.

    Before:

    Vegas2Vegas1

    After:

    StacheRoyale

Also I have not touched the Western Conference Championship Hat at Chick's Sporting Goods because of superstition that it may taint the victory.

My last haircut was in March before the Angels season began, so now I can pretty much bite my bangs. I got the whole "emo" hair thing going on (covering my eye, yes driving is a bit more difficult, but good things thats my 'day' time hair style and not my 'night' time style)... minus the whole emo thing because Tea helped beat it out of me with THE METAL. m/ {o_O} m/ Thanks buddy.

    Superstitions are a bitch.

  • The Tattoo Vow

Long ago in the early 2000's, I vowed that I would only get a tattoo if the Smashing Pumpkins reunited.

Well its 2007 and they have reunited reach means I must complete the vow.

So here is what I'll be getting before the July 28th concert in San Francisco.

I'll have the SP heart on my left arm and the word Zero with a small star below it on my right arm.

  • An Angel in the Dark

On Saturday, I went with J Money to a birthday party where everyone wore black clothing. There were upside down pentagrams around people's necks, shirts, or tattoo'ed on their arms. I wore my bright red Angels jersey, Dickie shorts, and plaid red chucks. I stuck out

The music consisted of death speed metal and growl-ish type vocals. It was well balanced beautiful chaos.

By the time we left, I found nearly everyone at the party to be delightful and fun drinking buddies. I ended up passing out at Bruin's pad after drinking an enormous amount of some unknown alcohol simply named Tic Tac from El Salvador. Odorless and it came in a plastic bottle, I should have used that as a warning.

    Oh yea, Go DUCKS!!!
