  • Back in the Day

I was driving home from work the other day listening to Sirius station "Back Spin" when the song Paperboy - Ditty came on.

Dude, it took me back like a Dolorean.

This led to the thought of todays' music. 10 years from now, are we going to listen to a backspin of "This is why I'm hot, This is why I'm hot, This is why This why, This is why I'm hot."? For the sake of humanity, I certainly hope not. What will stand the test of time?

What songs from the 90's takes you back?

  • Everything that is remaked form the eithies take me back :)

  • Well other than the fact that "this is why i'm hot" is the anthem everytime i walk into a room. 90's was all about hiphop for me, From Dre (Chronic, not that suck ass Chronic 2000) to Bonethugs and why not add in a little Soul 4 Real.

  • I like 90s R&B...Boys II Men, TLC, Babyface, etc.

"This is why I'm Hot" LOL...Why do all the redundant songs that sound so dumb to me always get popular. When they first come out I'm always thinking " What the hell is this?! No one is gonna like this song." Then, next thing I know, everyone's singing it.

"This is why I'm Hot" LOL!!!...I swear songs like that should have killed rap music a long time ago, but nope.

  • What to know something funny? They played Paperboy on the radio the other day, and I went straight home and downloaded it that night because it reminded me how much I used to play it (back-in-the-day), lol.

I listen to a pretty diverse collection of music, but for me, the 90's meant..... Boys to men, Coolio, Tone-Loc, Greenday (anything DOOKIE related, lol), TLC, Cher (I admit, I saw her in concert), Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Garth Brooks, Color me badd (oh gawd, I still remember when they came out with I WANNA SEX YOU UP)... and yes, I hate to say this, but I bought New Kids on the Block's CD. *laugh*
