Seriously 25
There is a bit of truth to the saying that you have to be over 25 to be taken seriously (by older adults).
4-5 years ago, older adults would only take me seriously in a conversation when I advised them on computers and other technical issues. When it came to politics, world issues, business, etc I was a mere whisper in the wind flowing from one ear to another.
Now at the age of 26.45, it seems as if my opinion matters at least a bit more.
The preconditioned notion I was told by an older folk at school about those under 25 is that they have generally not experienced enough to generate an opinion with substance. A tad bit insulting, nevertheless, there is a bit of truth.
When I graduated at the age of 23, I thought I knew everything. I was going to take on the world. Then, the real world struck and I realized I knew jack-shit.
There is some truth in the saying (although it is understandable to give or take on the age of 25, varies from person to person) since I find myself talking to a teenager in my class and not being able to take him seriously either.
I'm sure there is a hidden jealousy factor since those under 25 have a metabolism to naturally burn an In-N-Out Double Double in 4 hours without exercise. While an older adult would clog their aorta, require a cardioscopy, and years of low fat/cholesterol/salt dieting.

I think it's the massive amount of pot that helps burn off that burger. I know I've mentioned this before, but there are Lieutenants serving with me who are younger than me and don't know jack. These people were still in HS while I was knee deep in combat...
Considering that between the ages of 18 and 25 the average person will have only voted once in a presidential election (pretty much the only kind that anyway really wants to vote in) and even then anything that you're voting on you're too young to have it affect you unless it's about tuition. anyhow its my last year in the draft, its time to celebrate
...NERD.... you should know better than that... no matter how old or how young you are, No one know more and the next person... they only consist of a different kind of knowledge...
