  • The Smashing Pumpkins @ S.F.

I absolutely cannot wait for this weekend. I am extremely ecstatic that my beloved Smashing Pumpkins will be playing the old favorites as well as new ones once again!

It will be a weekend of awesoming and awesomest.

Oh yes, I didn't get the tattoo. My sister said it'd make my grandma sad, so I'd rather break a vow than do that. Sorry Billy I failed you, but you'd do the same.

    Harry Potter Midnight Madness!

Here's the picture of our nerdness awesomest:

  • The Art of Drifting

Not cars... but socially. There really is an art of drifting away from people. Whether it be in good terms or bad, it just seems it goes by the same route.

I'm still not quite certain of the moment of initial drift. It pretty much follows the same pattern as getting high (so I've heard...). You don't know you're high until you are. It just happens. Once you drift away from someone, for whatever reason, it becomes quite difficult to initiate contact once again. When you try to look back its pretty hazy as to how it happened.

One may think that with all this communication technology at our fingertips, keeping in touch would be a breeze. Its still hard. Life gets busy getting wrapped up in one moment to another. Routine & chaos finds it own common ground while social ties are the sad victim of this reality.

  • Vegas Holiday

In the weekend I went to Vegas with my family. We kept it old school and stayed the whole weekend at downtown (Fremont Street). Let me tell you this... Fremont Rocks more than the strip.

If you're on a budget, but want to get lit... go to downtown Vegas. Free live bands play, the 5 football field long light show is trippy, free beads, steak & lobster for $10.99 @ Tony Romas, $.99 shrimp cocktail, and laid-back. I drank a true yard of a frozen strawberry daiquiri that required a neckstrap, which by the way would make an awesome bong... for hookah of course ... wink wink.

If you are filipino, I suggest going to the bar infront of the Four Queens. The bartender asked me if I'm filipino, I said, "yes." Then he gave me a nod and a wink. Next thing I knew I no longer had a strawberry daiquiri. It was rum ice with a splash of strawberry. Mwahaha!!! I met all sorts of random people. It rocked!

  • Porno for Pyros

So at work, we got a shipment of DVD's to recycle. Well the title of this post gives it away, but yes... most of them is porn. As operations manager, I felt obligated to make sure to test the purity of this material; by playing it on my work computer.

By golly, it worked. Now we have a dozen pallets filled with porn. Its a damn shame we have to recycle them.

  • Half a World's Apart

Friday night, we headed to the Red Lion Tavern for some year round German Oktoberfest drinking. Afterwards we hopped across the street to Cha Cha's for some festive Tijuanna on acid atmosphere. There were cheap drinks and surprisingly a punk rock music atmosphere. Pretty wicked.

Saturday, headed down to Hollywood again to ArcLight Cinemas to catch Transformers (again). We watched it in the gigantic dome theater, ya know the big Cinerama off Sunset Blvd. Reserved assigned seating rocks. The coolest part though is that the Autobot cars were there on display. Optimus Prime (big-rig), Bubble-Bee (Camaro), Ironhide (big GMC truck, and Ratchet (Hummer) minus Jazz (Pontiac Solstice).

Sunday, ate at a cool 50's diner on route 66 called Legends. Lots of memorobilia on walls of Elvis, Audrey, Betty, etc. Afterwards we played a "quick" game of Monopoly. I defied all odds and won with just the following:

    • Mediterranean Ave & Baltic with Hotels

    • All the Railroads

I owned the slums and won. It is possible Dane Cook!

  • Best Movie of All Time

It may be a bit too soon, but TRANSFORMERS is the ONE!

Action, adventure, robots, cars, bit of romance, sadness (there was a few parts I got teary-eye), the drama was all there. Oh, let's not forget the great one, Optimus Prime.

    Must watch again and again.

Did I mention I now possess the Optimus Prime Voice Changing Helmet? YES it is mine! Although, ever since I got it I've been talking to it somewhat like Tom Hank's ball friend, Wilson, in the movie Cast Away. LoL.

  • Cook? Not for Me.

Well at least the past few weeks being that there is no stove at the house. Basically the last few days I have eaten out at:

    • Capriccio's on Vermont (very lovely Italian place, definitely a keeper)

    • Sicilli's (the Calzone's are ginormous)

    • P.F. Chang's (commercialized Chinese food, it was whatever, waitress was pretty though)

    • Staples Center Suite (got a Cosmopolitan in a pitcher! It fucked me up for the Avenger game)

  • Bang Bang and Randomness

My bangs are long enough for me to bite the tips. I look too emo, but I need this hair to rock out at the Pumpkins concert properly; I owe it to Billy.

Remodeling in the house is half way done.

Currently on repeat on my MP3 player:

    • The Smashing Pumpkins - Tarantula

    • The Smashing Pumpkins - Doomsday Clock

    • T.I. - Big Shit Poppin'

    • Hillary Duff - With Love

    • Gym Class Heroes - Clothes Off!

    • Bowling for Soup - When We Die

    • Coldplay - Til Kingdom Come

  • Terrence, Where Are You?

    Have you seen my homeslice?

  • Hot Hot Heat

Its not "Summer Hot" yet, but I'm starting to get quite irritable. I hate hot weather. Bye Bye hoodies.
